WHY DO YOU LIKE CEMETERIES?  Are you a Taphophile?
What is it about cemeteries that are so fascinating to so many?  I have wondered this myself. Graveyards, coffins, skulls, why am I intrigued with them? The history with the cemetery and the area. How people celebrate life and death. There is such beauty. We have been to cemeteries that are so amazingly beautiful and some that are now only remains to a people that were once thriving that are now gone. Where there was once grand display of status has since been left to decay and rot. The forgotten. The architecture of these cities of the dead. The wrought iron and stain glass.

Cholla Cactus the Beauty of the Desert

  Since we are wanderers and gatherers we find beauty and inspiration on our journeys.  The Cholla Cactus was our inspiration.  The cholla (pronounced choy-a) is perhaps the most feared and hated cacti in the southwest desert.  It is also known as the “jumping cactus”.  If you have ever brushed up against one you will know why.   There is also beauty in this plant as well.  With over 20 species many of which has beautiful flowers.  Just look don’t touch.   The living plant also provides food and water for desert livestock and wild animals.  Even the cactus wren builds their...
